Join us for a weekend filled with experiences and skill building in the outdoors

Join us for a weekend outdoors, playing in nature and learning skills.
During your stay we will walk and be present in the habitat that surrounds the Alberta Centre for Trapping and Bushcraft.
What flora and fauna do we see hear and smell in this wonderful forest and lake habitat.Â
Come alone or a group of ladies or mothers and daughters.
Families are welcome and youth 10 and up with the supervision of a parent are welcome.

What to expect
NATURE OBSERVATION
Be Present while walking through the forest (Be curious)
·     What do you see? (critters, tracks, scat or interesting stuff)
·     What do you smell?
·     What do you hear?
·     Foraging for useful plants.
BUSHCRAFT ACTIVITIES (possibilities)
·     Knife Skills
·     Spoon Carving (poplar Bark)
·     Making Natural Cordage
·     Knots to live by?
·     Build a Roycraft Pack
·     Bushcraft cooking. – Pot latch, coal cooking Bannock, Cooking systems
·     Making Mors Kochanski Coffee- (Could be the best coffee you ever have)
·     fire building, fire lays
·     survival snaring
·     Shelter making
·     Navigation- what to do if/when one gets lost
·     What to have in your adventure bug out bag.

(These are a list of possible skill building experiences.  The participants can play a part in deciding what we do depending on their interests and skills.
I welcome suggestions of other experiences.)

Friday September 20, 2024
6pm optional arrival date at Alberta centre for Trapping and Bushcraft (if you would like to come and get set up Friday evening with your tent that would be preferrable otherwise you will have to come early to get set up before our program starts on Saturday morning.)

830 meet and greet go for a habitat walk enjoy Mors coffee 😊

Items to bring
·      outdoor gear and attire (Dress for the Weather)
·      sleeping gear, Tent
·      food for Breakfast lunch supper Saturday and Sunday
·      You may bring your own knife, but Mora Knives will be provided for you for use in the course.

Cost - $200 includes, Instruction, materials for Crafts and Mors Coffee.
Choice of accommodations:
·     Bring your own tent and stay at our Bushcamp on the lake (Preferred 😊)
·     If you have no tent by request ahead of time you may sleep in a wall tent at our Bush camp site
